Su invito dei Padri Pallottini, SAC, le nostre Superiore hanno accettato di essere presenti con una piccola comunità a Banaswadi, in una zona periferica della città di Bangalore.

 Qui i Padri Pallottini hanno costruito una bella chiesa dedicata a San Vincenzo Pallotti e hanno auspicato che le nostre sorelle collaborino alla cura pastorale, essendo la zona densamente popolata e piuttosto complessa con la presenza di varie culture. Dopo aver pregato, esaminato e considerato le richieste, la Superiora Provinciale Sr. Vittorina D'Imperio ha deciso di accettare.

La comunità si è formata il 24 maggio 1997. E’ stata acquistata una piccola casa per accogliere le prime tre Suore. Quando il numero delle Suore è aumentato è stato necessario intervenire ingrandendola ed utilizzando anche parte del giardino che si trovava intorno alla casa. Si desiderava che la casa fosse dedicata a Cristo Apostolo, tradotto nella lingua locale "Yesu Nilaya".

Successivamente due Suore hanno assunto l'incarico di insegnare Inglese nella scuola Media dei Padri Pallottini. Secondo le altre richieste nella nostra comunità è stata aperta una scuola materna per i bambini locali. La vita sociale ci aiuta ad adattare e a rispondere ai segni dei tempi con vigore e zelo. Siamo liete che il Carisma Pallottino si stia diffondendo nel nostro ambiente attraverso i nostri servizi e gli sforzi di beneficenza, con le benedizioni di Dio.

History of the community of YesuNilaya in Bengalore

At the invitation of the Pallottine Father SAC our Superiors have agreed to be present with a small community in Banaswadi, in a suburb area of the city of Bangalore.

Here Pallottine Fathers have built a beautiful church dedicated to St. Vincent Pallotti and wished that our Sisters collaborate in the pastoral care, being a densely populated and quite complex with the presence of various cultures. Having considered the normal stresses and test the possibilities of response, the Provincial Superior Sr. Vittorina D’imperio decided to accept.

The community was formed on 24^th May 1997. The house acquired to accommodate the small community of three Sisters, was really small, and when the number of Sisters increased it was necessary to intervene and extend it, using also the “trimmings” of the garden that is around the house. The house was desired to be dedicated to Christ the Apostle, translated into local language “YesuNilaya”.

Thereafter two Sisters took the task of teaching in the English medium school of Pallottine Fathers. According to the other demands in our community a kindergarten was opened for local children.

The richness of the society help us to adopt and respond to the signs of the times with vigour and zeal. We are glad that the Pallottine Charism is spreading in our surrounding through our charitable services and effort, with the God’s blessings.
