Dal 2016 lavoro come direttrice dell'educazione religiosa presso l'Infant Savior Parish, Pine Bush, che è sotto l'arcidiocesi di New York, negli Stati Uniti.

È una graziosa cittadina nel nord-ovest di New York ed è un terreno agricolo.

Come collaboratori ci sono anche due diaconi, cioè Dn. Jack Carr e Dn. Frank Rose.

La parrocchia salvadorca ha migliaia di famiglie registrate e attualmente abbiamo un'iscrizione di circa 250 studenti dal primo all’ottavo nel nostro programma di educazione religiosa.

Gestiamo il programma da domenica a mercoledì e le lezioni sono di pomeriggio e di sera.

Ho veramente amato questo ministero catechistico fin dall'inizio ed è una bellissima missione in cui c’è il popolo di Dio che aspetta la Sua Parola.

Come suora pallottina, sento di essere inviata per questa missione speciale.

E preparare i bambini per i sacramenti iniziali di base diventa un'occasione per incontrare e raggiungere le loro famiglie attraverso incontri, catechesi familiare e diversi eventi come servizi di preghiera, preparativi sacramentali, giochi di Natale, animazione di massa, ecc. In altre parole, diventa per tutti noi un tempo di celebrazione e di partecipazione alla vita di Cristo.

Infatti, lo scopo della catechesi è "mettere le persone non solo in contatto tra di loro, ma anche in comunione e intimità, con Gesù Cristo".

Since 2016 I work as the Director of Religious Education at Infant Savior Parish, Pine Bush which is underthe Archdiocese of New York,U.S.

It’s a pretty town in the north-west of New York and it’s a farm land.Our pastor is Fr. Niranjan Rodrigo and we also have two deacons namely Dn. Jack Carr and Dn. Frank Rose.Infant Savior parish has thousand families registered and at present we have an enrollment of 250 students from first Level through eighth in our Religious Education program.

We run the program from Sunday through Wednesday and the classes are in the afternoons and in the evenings as well.

I really lovedthis catechetical ministry right from the beginning and it is a beautiful mission where you have the people of God waiting for His Word.As a Pallottine Sister, I feel I am sent for this special mission.

And preparing children for the Basic Initial Sacraments becomes an occasion to meet and reach out to their families through meetings, family catechesis and different events like prayer services, sacramental preparations, Christmas Play, Mass Animation etc.In other words, it becomesfor all of us a time of celebration and participation in the life of Christ.

fact, the aim of catechesis is “to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy, with Jesus Christ.” (General Directory for Catechesis [GDC] 80)
