“Ovunque sarò, intendo immaginarmi di essere insieme a tutte le creature, nel Cenacolo di Gerusalemme, dove gli Apostoli ricevettero lo Spirito Santo. Mi ricorderò di rinnovare spesso questo desiderio. Come c'erano gli Apostoli con Maria, così sarò in spirito con la Madre amatissima e Gesù. In quanto miei speciali intercessori, confido che aiuteranno me e tutte le altre creature a ricevere l'abbondanza dello Spirito Santo” – San Vincenzo Pallotti (OOCC X, 86).

Il Cenacolo è il luogo dove i discepoli si radunarono per l'ultima cena, insieme a Gesù, fu istituita l'Eucaristia e diede il perfetto esempio di amore e servizio lavando i piedi ai discepoli.

Il giorno di Pentecoste lo Spirito Santo scese sulla Vergine Maria e sugli Apostoli e il Cenacolo divenne il compimento della promessa di Gesù.

Nel Cenacolo Maria nostra Madre svolse un ruolo vitale nel rilancio degli apostoli. Riflettendo sul Cenacolo, San Vincenzo Pallotti giunse a credere che tutti sono chiamati ad assumere la missione di Gesù Cristo ea vivere come apostoli, inviati a predicare la Buona Novella ea portare guarigione a un mondo sofferente e afflitto.

Noi Pallottine della Provincia Sacra Famiglia, in India, abbiamo lavorato instancabilmente per la società durante la Pandemia. Abbiamo servito le persone colpite, visitatole famiglie negli Ospedali, distribuito i kit alimentari  a tanta gente ma soprattutto abbiamo raccolto le comunità in preghiera e adorazione. L'esperienza di fede della nostra Provincia ci ha portato ad aprire un Cenacolo Pallottino alla presenza di Maria nostra Madre per implorare la misericordia di Dio su di noi e sul mondo intero.

La pandemia di COVID-19 ha svolto un ruolo significativo nella vita dei religiosi di tutto il mondo. La sfida, tuttavia, ha aperto un nuovo input spirituale attraverso la pandemia. La paura ha invaso molti, ma la fede e la speranza ha messo in parallelo la vita dei religiosi con la carità verso le persone colpite.

Nemmeno uno ha risparmiato la vita, ma come il grano cade sulla terra e muore per produrre molto frutto, così i servizi dei religiosi hanno portato avanti una nuova era nel mondo della pandemia. I servizi resi negli ospedali e nelle famiglie con l'umanità sofferente. La fonte di questa energia nascosta ha radicalmente formato il cenacolo nel mondo.

Durante il secondo Capitolo nell'anno 2018-2019 della Provincia della Sacra Famiglia è nata l’urgenza di aprire una nostra casa e renderla “Casa di preghiera: il cenacolo” per responsabilizzare i membri verso la spiritualità Pallottina e per raggiungere il mondo intero nella preghiera.

La stanza superiore suggerita dal Capitolo è stato il convento di Kanyakumari, Maria Regina degli Apostoli.

San Vincenzo Pallotti ha espresso il desiderio di raggiungere il mondo con le “ali della preghiera”, infatti dove non poteva raggiungervi personalmente, è arrivato con le sue preghiere. Noi figli di San Vincenzo Pallotti abbiamo incarnato i suoi desideri e aperto il “Cenacolo Pallottino”, adempiendo la proposta approvata nel secondo Capitolo.

Il 6 giugno 2021, giorno del “Corpus Domini” si realizza il sogno dell’apertura della casa di preghiera presso la Comunità Kanyakumari, Maria Regina degli Apostoli, per raggiungere il mondo con il desiderio e con  leali della preghiera.

L'intera comunità è pienamente impegnata a trascorrere 5 ore in santa adorazione eucaristica ogni giorno. Riceviamo richieste di preghiera attraverso i media e preghiamo collettivamente per la Congregazione e per il mondo sofferente.

Anche la Santa Eucaristia esposta nella cappella una volta alla settimana ha condotto la processione eucaristica nel campus e nei locali della comunità. Non siamo soli in questo compito. Maria Regina degli Apostoli intercede per noi, testimonia per noi la sequela di Cristo e ci affida la cura di una madre.

Lo Spirito Santo permea tutto ciò che facciamo e ci richiama al Cenacolo, alla mensa del Signore nell'Eucaristia, al culto e alla comunione con la comunità di fede, per essere nuovamente inviati. Istituita nel Cenacolo di Gerusalemme, l'Eucaristia ci sostiene, ci nutre e ci muove nel mondo “glorificando il Signore” con la nostra vita (“Congedo”, Messale Romano).

Uno dei momenti salienti del pellegrinaggio di Papa Francesco in Terra Santa e la Messa che ha celebrato nel Cenacolo di Gerusalemme è stata la sua omelia sul  Cenacolo che ci ricorda questa missione di cui tutti noi siamo chiamati a far parte: “Da qui esce la Chiesa, sospinta dal soffio vivificante dello Spirito.

Riunita in preghiera con la Madre di Gesù, la Chiesa vive nell'attesa costante di una rinnovata effusione dello Spirito Santo. Manda il tuo Spirito, Signore, e rinnova la faccia della terra (cfrSal 104,30)!”

Le nostre preghiere nel “Cenacolo Pallottino” riversano lo Spirito Santo e rinnovano la faccia della Terra con il soffio vivificante dello stesso Spirito.

Pallottine Cenacle –Holy Family Province

“Wherever I shall be, I intend to imagine myself to be together with all the creatures in the Cenacle in Jerusalem where the Apostles received the Holy Spirit. I shall remind myself to renew this desire often. As the Apostles were there with Mary, so will I be in spirit with the most beloved Mother and Jesus.

As they are my special intercessors, I am confident that they will help me and all other creatures to receive the abundance of the Holy Spirit” –St.Vincent Pallotti (OOCC X, 86). The cenacle is the place where disciples gathered together for the last supper where the Eucharist instituted and given the perfect example of love and service by washing the feet of the disciples .

The cenacle played an important role day of Pentecost by descending of the Holy Spirit upon the Virgin Mary and the Apostles thus the cenacle become the fulfillment of the promise of Jesus ’ on the coming of the Holy Spirit’ and In the Cenacle Mary our Mother played a vital role in re empowering the apostles.

In Reflecting on the Cenacle, St. Vincent Pallotti came to believe that all are called to take up the mission of Jesus Christ and live as apostles, sent forth to preach the Good News and bring healing to a broken and suffering world. We the Holy Family Province-Pallottine in India tirelessly worked for the society during Pandemic .In serving the persons affected visiting the patience in the Hospitals in the families, distributing the food kits above all the communities gathered in prayer and adoration.

Faith experience of our Province led us to open a Pallottine Cenacle in the presence of Mary our Mother to implore God’ s mercy on us and on the entire world. The Pandemic of COVID-19 has played a significant role in the life of the religious all over the world. The challenge nevertheless has opened a new spiritual input though the pandemic.

Fear has invaded many but their faith and hope has paralleled the life of the religious with the charity towards the affected. Not even one spared their life rather like the grain falls on earth and die to produce much fruit, the dedicated services of the religious has brought forth a new era in the world of pandemic.

The services rendered in the hospitals and in the families with the suffering humanity. The source of this hidden energy is radically formed the cenacle in the world. The second Provincial Chapter in the year 2018-2019 of Holy Family Province was the inspiration of opening a Power house” the House of Prayer “the cenacle to empower the members towards the Pallottine spirituality and to reach out to the whole world in prayer. The upper room suggested by the Chapter was at Kanyakumari Mary Queen of Apostles convent.

St.Vincet Pallotti expressed his desire to reach out to the world with desire of “wings of Prayer” Where he could not reach personally he reached with his prayers. We the children of St.Vincent Pallotti emprise his desires and opened the “Pallottine Cenacle”.

Holy Family Province, India, in the second Provincial Chapter raised the proposal for the establishment of a “prayer house”. on 6TH June 2021 on the day of “Corpus Domini” the dream of the prayer house is realized at Kanyakumari Community, Mary Queen of the Apostles, to reach out the world with the desire of wings of prayer.

The entire community is fully pledged to spend 5 hours in Holy Eucharistic adoration daily. We receive prayer request through media base and collectively pray for the Congregation and for the suffering world. The Holy Eucharist exposed in the chapel as well once in a week conducted Eucharistic procession in the community campus and premises. We are not alone in this task.

Mary Queen of the Apostles intercedes for us, witnesses discipleship of Christ for us, and gives us a mother’s care. The Holy Spirit permeates all that we do and calls us back to the Cenacle, to the table of the Lord in the Eucharist, to worship and fellowship with the community of faith, in order to be sent forth once again. Instituted in the Cenacle of Jerusalem, the Eucharist sustains us, nourishes us, and moves us out into the world “glorifying the Lord” by our lives (“Dismissal”, Roman Missal).

One of the signature moments of Pope Francis’ pilgrimage to the Holy Land and the Mass that he celebrated in the Cenacle or Upper Room in Jerusalem. Pope Francis in his homily in the Cenacle reminds us of this mission of which all of us are called to be a part: “From here the Church goes forth, impelled by the life-giving breath of the Spirit. Gathered in prayer with the Mother of Jesus, the Church lives in constant expectation of a renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Send forth your Spirit, Lord, and renew the face of the earth (cf. Ps 104:30)!”

Our prayers in the” Pallottine Cenacle “out pour the HolySpirit and renew the face of the Earth by the life –giving breath of the same Spirit.
